Wichita State Drops Series Opener

Box Score WICHITA, Kan. – Wichita State was held to just four singles by two Creighton pitchers, as the Bluejays claimed game one of the series 6-1 on Friday night at Eck Stadium.

Creighton (10-6) struck in the top of the first on a sacrifice fly from Chris Esposito. Seth Stroh tied the game at 1-1 in the bottom of the third with his first home run of the season, but that would prove to be the only run that the Shockers could muster against Creighton starter Dylan Tebrake (3-1). Tebrake went six strong innings, allowing four hits and one run with six strikeouts and one walk.
