Veith, Yetter Win Multi-Events

WICHITA, Kan. -- Wichita State's Hunter Veith and Gavyn Yetter won the Decathlon and Heptathlon, respectively, at the K.T. Woodman Track and Field Classic Thursday afternoon inside Cessna Stadium.

Veith scored 7,300 points in the two-day, 10-event multi competition, which was a personal best and the sixth-best point total in Shocker history.

In Thursday's five events, he won the pole vault with a height of 15-9 (4.80m), finished second in the 110 meter hurdles (15.04) and third in the 1,500 meters, the day's final event, in a time of 4:46.
