MANHATTAN, Kan. – Kate Tilma and Mackenzie Wilson both earned top 10 finishes to lead the Shockers to a third-place finish in the Powercat Invitational on Tuesday at Colbert Hills Golf Club.
Wichita State recorded rounds of 303, 303, and 319 for a total score of 925, 61 strokes over par. Host Kansas State cruised to the team title, finishing 27 strokes ahead of second-place Cincinnati.
Wichita State was topped only by Power Four opponents — the Wildcats and Bearcats — on its way to a fourth top-five team finish of the fall season.
