For a third consecutive year, Wichita State student-athletes, coaches and staff spread out through the community to help organizations for Serve-A-Thon.

"The goal is to connect our student-athletes and staff to the community," said Sydney Brummett, student-athlete experience coordinator. "We've had a lot of people get back to us saying that the kids who our student-athletes and staff interacted with loved it, and 'How do we get you to come back?'"

Wichita State sent 213 volunteers out to perform tasks such as delivering meals, cooking pancakes at the Ronald McDonald House, spreading mulch in the orangutans exhibit at the Sedgwick County Zoo and playing bingo at Starkey.
