WICHITA, Kan. – Another outstanding year on the green and in the classroom has landed six Wichita State women's golfers on the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) 2022-23 All-American Scholar list.
Seniors Megan Lucas and Kenni Henson, junior Mar Vidal, sophomore Sarah Lawson, and freshmen Brooklyn Benn and Mackenzie Wilson, were all named as WGCA Scholar Athletes when the honors list was announced on Thursday afternoon. These six student-athletes were recognized for their work in the classroom this past season.
Earning a spot on the WGCA All-American Scholar Team is not something that is easily accomplished, as the minimum cumulative GPA needed by an athlete to be selected is 3.
