Shockers Turn Back No. 13 Arizona, 10-9

TUCSON, Ariz. – , and combined to throw five scoreless innings in relief, and drove in what proved to be the game-winning run in the seventh inning as the Wichita State University baseball team took down the 13th-ranked Arizona Wildcats, 10-9, Friday evening, March 12, at Hi Corbett Field.

The victory improves the Shockers to 7-4 on the season and snaps Arizona's 10-game winning streak, dropping the Wildcats to 11-3 overall.

Stuempfig, a redshirt sophomore right-hander from Flower Mound, Texas, improved to 2-0 on the mound this season after entering the game in the bottom of the fifth and firing three scoreless innings, allowing just two hits on 51 pitches with two strikeouts and a walk, while Barnhouse tossed a scoreless eighth inning with a pair of Ks.
