Shockers Turn Back K-State Wednesday, 8-5

WICHITA, Kan. – The Wichita State University baseball team defeated the Kansas State Wildcats, 8-5, Wednesday, March 27, at Eck Stadium, Home of Tyler Field.

The Shockers (13-12, 2-1 American), who have won seven of their last 10 games, are scheduled to host Bethune-Cookman in the opening game of a three-game series Friday, March 29, at noon.

Redshirt freshman right-hander (1-0) earned his first collegiate victory on the mound after tossing five innings and allowing one earned run on four hits with two walks and four strikeouts, while threw a scoreless ninth inning to secure his team-best fourth save of 2019.
