TULSA, Okla. – The Wichita State men's tennis team collected six wins in the first and second rounds of pre-qualifying, Saturday at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center and Union Center in Tulsa.
Seniors Eddie Stoica and Andrea Caligiana collected two wins each, along with Murkel Dellien.
In first round action, Dellien caught fire early to roll past Pat Harper of Tennessee (6-3, 6-1). The junior from Bolivia took on (9-16) Nick Borchenko of Loyola Marymount in second round play. After dropping the first (6-3), Dellien rallied to win the final two sets (6-1, 6-4) and clinch a spot in the Round of 64.
