WICHITA, Kan. – Wichita State scored in six of eight innings and defeated North Dakota 16-3 on Tuesday afternoon.
Timely hitting, walks and hit by pitches led to a strong day at the plate for the Shockers. The home team combined for a total of 16 hits, 10 walks and four hit by pitches.
The offense was led by Gunnar Troutwine who went 3-for-4, with four RBI and two runs scored. Travis Young was a spark plug from the nine-hole going 2-for-3, including a double, a RBI and two runs scored.
