Shockers Sweep North Texas, 3-0

DENTON, Texas – Alex Koon hit .500 and Emma Wright collected a career-high three services aces to help the Wichita State University volleyball team post its first sweep of the season with a 3-0 victory over the University of North Texas Mean Green Friday evening, Sept. 14, in the North Texas Challenge at the North Texas Volleyball Center. The Shockers won by set scores of 25-23, 25-15 and 25-19.

Wichita State (5-5) is slated to conclude play in the challenge Saturday, Sept. 15, at 1 p.m. against 15th-ranked Cal Poly.

Tabitha Brown tallied a match-high 13 kills, while Koon also reached double-figure kills with 10, and Kali Eaken dished out 22 assists, leading the Shockers offensively.
