The Wichita State men’s basketball team defeated Oral Roberts on Saturday, 68-59, improving to 5-0 on the young season.
In the first half, the Shockers started out red-hot shooting the basketball but struggled towards the end allowing ORU to cut into the deficit. WSU would take a seven-point halftime lead behind their 46% shooting in the first half. For the game, WSU went 28-58 from the field and 5-13 from three.
The Shockers started to pull away in the second half taking a 15 point lead but the Golden Eagles charged back cutting the deficit to two points.
