Shockers Go the Distance on Day One

WICHITA – The distance runners and javelin throwers for the Wichita State track and field team competed under the lights on day one of the individual events portion of the KT Woodman Classic.

In the women's javelin competition Samantha Marx (42.00m/137-9) and Kourtni Hubert (40.72m/133-7) took fourth and fifth, respectively, throwing into a strong headwind. By the time the men threw, the wind had calmed, and Davis Dubbert claimed the third spot with a season-best throw of 60.37m/198-1.
