WICHITA—The Shockers opened their home conference schedule with a, 82-76, victory over Cincinnati inside of Charles Koch Arena.
Ricky Council IV had the best game of his college career and sparked the Shockers in the second half. Council IV had 23 points, six rebounds and two assists.
Council IV had a showstopping transition dunk in the midst of the game-defining 5:27 stretch where he scored 13 of the Shockers' 19 points.
From the 13:50 mark of the second half to the 8:23 mark, the Shockers went from having a one-point deficit to a 10-point lead.
