Shockers Finish 1-2 at Wyoming Desert Match Play

PALM DESERT, Calif. – The Wichita State men's golf team opened the spring schedule with a 1-2 showing at the Wyoming Desert Match Play competition, good for sixth place at the Classic Club. The Shockers dropped the opening round to San Diego 4-0-2, defeated Boise State 3-1-2, and were bested by Seattle, 4-1-1.

Michael Winslow led the Shockers with a pair of individual wins against Boise State and Seattle, while Lucas Scheufler notched a win and a draw. Aston Castillo and Dawson Lewis each had two draws, and Blake Lorenz picked up an individual win against Boise State.
