NORMAN, Okla. – Kristof Minarik picked up a hard-fought win at No. 3 singles but No. 22 Oklahoma came away with a 6-1 win in Norman Friday evening.
The Sooners started strong with wins at courts one and three to snag the doubles point and went on to win five-straight singles matches in straight sets. Minarik and Richards were up 6-5 at No. 2 doubles when play was stopped. At No. 3 singles, Minarik battled to a 7-6(1), 4-6, 1-0 (10-5) victory to finish the match on a positive for the Shockers.
