PROVO, Utah – No. 18 BYU (5-0) used 12 service aces to defeat Wichita State 3-1 at the BYU Nike Invitational. The Cougars won by scores of 25-19, 25-17, 21-25, and 25-11.

The first sent went back and forth until BYU used three-straight kills to take a 6-4 lead. Two kills from Leggett and a block from pulled the Shocks within 8-7, but a 4-0 Cougar run pushed the lead to 12-7. After another kill from Leggett, BYU went on a 5-0 run highlighted by three-straight service aces to make the score 17-8.
