WICHITA, Kan. - Wichita State (17-9, 9-5) fell to Charlotte (16-10, 7-7) 3-1 on Sunday afternoon at Charles Koch Arena to end a three-match win streak. Charlotte won by scores of 25-21, 25-20, 22-25 and 26-24.
The Shockers recorded a .125 hitting percentage with 52 kills and 30 errors. The 49ers hit .192, with 60 kills and 26 errors.
Jordan Heatherly and Hannah Hawkins both recorded double-doubles for Wichita State. Heatherly finished with 32 assists and 14 digs, and Hawkins recorded 12 assists and 11 digs. Brooklyn Leggett led the Shockers with 13 kills.
