Shockers Fall to #57 UCF

ORLANDO, Fla. – The Wichita State men's tennis team suffered a 6-1 loss to No. 57 UCF Friday at the USTA National Campus.

picked up the lone win for the Shockers at No. 4 singles, defeating No. 84-ranked Liam Branger, 7-6(8-6), 6-1, to improve to 12-4 and claim his first victory over a rarnked opponent.

and joined forces for the first time at No. 1 doubles, putting up a fight against UCF's No. 30 duo of Lleyton Cronje and Bogdan Pavel, but ultimately fell 6-4.

With the 1-0 advantage heading into singles, UCF claimed three-consecutive straight-set wins on the top three courts to clinch the match.
