Shockers Fall in Opener to Denver

WICHITA, Kan. – The Wichita State men's tennis team battled hard but fell by a score of 4-3 to the Denver Pioneers at Genesis Health Club in Wichita, Kan.

The Shockers fell behind 3-0 early, but then they surged back quickly in singles play to tie it up as Marius Frosa, Murkel Dellien, and Elio Lago all won their matches to tie it back up. It all came down to Stefan Latinovic who fought valiantly into the third set against James Davis of Denver. Davis would come away with 4-6, 7-5, 6-3 victory to clinch the match for the Pioneers.
