WICHITA, Kan. – No. 23 Wichita State managed just a single run and only two hits in game one of the series vs. USF, as the Bulls pulled out a slim 2-1 win at Wilkins Stadium Friday afternoon.
Wichita State (32-7-1, 14-2-1) tied a season high, striking out 10 times at the plate against the conference's top pitcher, Georgina Corrick. Corrick carried a no-hitter into the bottom of the sixth until infield single broke it up.
RBI triple in the next at bat was the only other hit for the Shockers in the game.
