Shockers Down Stetson With Huge Third Inning

WICHITA, Kan. -- Wichita State scored seven times in the bottom of the third inning thanks to five extra-base hits, cruising past Stetson 9-3 on Saturday afternoon at Eck Stadium.

The Shockers (8-6) entered the inning trailing 3-2, but hung a touchdown on the board for what would prove to be the final runs of the game. Doubles from David Herring and Garrett Pennington tied the game at 3-3, then one batter later Mauricio Millan added an RBI double of his own to make it 4-3. A bunt single from Seth Stroh put runners at the corners, and another bunt from Jack Little brought home Millan for a 5-3 advantage.
