WICHITA, Kan. - The Wichita State softball team defeated Cowley College 15-1 in game two of the Sunday doubleheader with the Shockers having 22 hits and two home runs, including a grand slam from Ashton Esparza.
The Shockers continued the hitting form from game one into game two, scoring nine runs in the first inning. Top of the order Mackenzie Wright walked then stole second before advancing to third on a flyout. Laurie Derrico doubled to get Wright home before Paige Luellen got Derrico round and make it 2-0 early.
