WICHITA—The Wichita State track and field teams began the weekend with the first day of competition at the Rock Chalk Classic in Lawrence, Kansas.
Director of Cross Country and Track and Field Steve Rainbolt said the Rock Chalk Classic is a fabulous track meet for the Shockers.
"The competition in all of the events is good and in some of the events it's truly incredible," Rainbolt said. "We are certainly getting some good things accomplished at this really important stage of the season. I think our athletes are excited about gearing up for our first AAC outdoor track and field championship in two years.
