RUSTON, La. - Coming off a double-digit win over Louisiana Tech, Wichita State capped off its second consecutive doubleheader sweep with an 11-5 win over Mississippi Valley State on Saturday night.
Bailee Nickerson and Laurie Derrico led the Shockers with two hits each, totaling four RBI. Erin McDonald registered her first win as a Shocker, striking out five batters in 3.2 innings pitched.
Ryleigh Buck got things started in the bottom of the first by drawing a walk, with Derrico and Lauren Mills stringing together back-to-back singles.
