WICHITA, Kan. - The 2018-19 Wichita State Shocker Cheer team finished up their work week last Friday and are ready for the upcoming season.
To start the week, the team took on orientation to get everyone on the same page for the upcoming year and learned the expectations of a Spirit Squad member. The coaching staff worked out the team, learning new stunts and putting the newcomers to the test.
The squad practiced different game day skills and competition-level basket tosses, pyramids and stunts. The team also used themed practices, such as 'Twin Tuesday, 'USA Wednesday' and 'Throwback Thursday' to help with team bonding.
