Shocker Cheer Team Awarded Top Honors at UCA Camp

This past week the Wichita State Cheer Team and Wu traveled to Estes Park, Co to participate at the final Universal Cheerleaders Association College Cheer Camp. During the days there they worked on perfecting their sidelines, band dances and timeout routine with UCA instructors from around the country.

Each day the team worked on pyramids, basket tosses, stunts and game planning for Shocker Game Day. Every evening there were evaluations on the skills and routines the team had put together, every evaluation resulted in a Blue Superior Ribbon, the highest possible honor for evaluations. Rookie cheerleader, Teagan liked the evaluation portion of the day because "it showed an outside perspective of our performance that gave us a baseline of what to work on for the final day competitions.
