Wichita State's coaching staff engineered the final months of 2019 to prepare for 2020. The schedule gave the Shockers home games to experiment, practice and earn confidence. It also tested them with high-level opponents, different playing styles and three games away from home.
All that moderation now seems to go out the window for the craziness of conference play.
