Wichita State volleyball returned to Koch Arena on Thursday and it looked like the version fans hoped to see.
Coach Chris Lamb certainly likes this version.
The Shockers swept North Texas (25-18, 25-19, 25-12) to open the pandemic-delayed spring season and improve to 4-0. Last season's team, inexperienced and facing a killer schedule, started 2-5 and never won more than two straight matches.
"This is the same look we had about us in Springfield, Mo., last week," Lamb said. "It's been a great effort – everybody involved and just trying to be committed to one another and fight.
