Mark Grogan played baseball at Wichita State from 1982-85 and started as a freshman in the 1982 College World Series title game. An infielder, he earned spots on All-NCAA regional teams in 1983 and 1985.
His book is "I Owe It all to Baseball" which includes a collection of his poetry, in addition to his story of growing up as the youngest of nine in a Catholic family, lots of baseball and lots of Shocker stories.
Grogan learned how to handle disappointment when the Minnesota baseball coach declined to recruit him.
