Former Shocker golfers Corey Novascone and Calvin Pearson join us to discuss the First Tee-Greater Wichita program and the recently opened Steve Hatchett Learning Center at MacDonald Golf Course. We talk about how First Tee is boosting high school golf in Wichita and how the program is able to remove many of the financial barriers that dissuade families from the sport. We learn about the new building and what it offers young golfers educationally and athletically.
We wrap up with stories about playing for former WSU coach Grier Jones, highlighted by Pearson's memory about how an errant shot led to a bee sting.
