Saturday's naming ceremony at Eck Stadium, Home of Tyler Field at Gene Stephenson Park brought together the former Wichita State baseball coach and many fans, colleagues and former Shockers. Stephenson coached WSU from 1978-2013 and led the Shockers to the 1989 NCAA title, in addition to six other College World Series appearances. He was inducted into the National College Baseball Hall of Fame in 2014. On Saturday morning, WSU added his name to the façade at Eck Stadium.
