Reports: Assistant Kyle Lindsted leaving Wichita State for Minnesota | The Wichita Eagle

According to multiple reports, Wichita State assistant coach Kyle Lindsted is in the process of completing a deal to become an assistant coach on Richard Pitino's staff at Minnesota. The news was first reported by KWCH Sports' Will Kunkel.

Lindsted, 41, is a Wichita native who was a WSU assistant and a top recruiter for Gregg Marshall the past three seasons after spending the previous 15 years turning Sunrise Christian Academy into a prep powerhouse.

Pitino confirmed he is working to finalize a deal this week that will make Lindsted his final assistant coach hire, he told the The Star Tribune in Minnesota on Monday.
