Owens Tied for Fourth After First Two Rounds in Houston

HOUSTON- Sophomore Zac Owens is tied for fourth in the Bayou City Collegiate following the first two rounds on Monday, compiling a total of 141 for 3-under par.

Owens came up with a 69 in the first round and a 72 in the second round, marking the second time in three tournaments where he has shot under 70 for an 18-hole score. The Woodward, Okla., native is four strokes back from the lead, with Luis Carrera from Sam Houston State holding the top spot after compiling a 137 36-hole score.

Yannik Emmert started the day by compiling a 1-under par finish in the first round, but fell to a 78 in the next 18 holes to come up with a 149 combined score and a tie for 40th place.
