DES MOINES, Iowa – The Wichita State men's tennis team found the top-three twice in singles, and once in doubles over the weekend at the Drake Invitational in Des Moines, Iowa.
Orel Ovil had a very successful weekend in singles as he compiled a 3-and-1 record in flight A, defeating athletes from Northwest Missouri State University, Washburn University, and the University of Nebraska Omaha, on his way to a runner-up finish.
Alex Richards also found success, picking up his first three wins as a Shocker in singles flight B, defeating people from the University of North Dakota, Gustavus Adolphus College, and Drake University to secure a third-place finish.
