WICHITA—Michael Bryan was honored for his school record performance in the hammer throw for the second consecutive week as the AAC Men's Field Athlete of the Week, the conference announced Wednesday.
Bryan broke his own school record in the hammer throw for the third consecutive week. Bryan won the men's hammer throw at the Wichita State Open on Saturday with a toss of 70.15m/230-2. It was the first time Bryan broke the 70-meter mark.
Bryan's toss leads the conference and ranks No. 6 in the country. He sits at No. 3 in the West Region, which puts him in regional qualifying position.
