WICHITA, Kan. - - Wichita State men's tennis coach Danny Bryan has announced the signing of Orel Ovil to a National Letter of Intent for the 2018-19 season.
A native of Israel, Ovil has had a successful tenure in the ITF Pro Circuit, reaching as high as No. 862 (ATP) in the world in singles.
Ovil's biggest win came over Lukas Klein, who currently ranks No. 443 (ATP) in singles, at the Israel F10 Futures to advance to the quarterfinals.
Ovil, who comes to Wichita State as a freshman, also has singles wins over Ben Patael (ranked as high as 499, currently 777), and Alon Elia (currently ranked 819).
