NEWTON, Kan. – Tied at 19-under par with Seton Hall with six holes to play, the Shocker golf team collected eight birdies across the final six holes to repeat as Grier Shocker Invitational Champions.
The win is the fourth for the Shockers in the Judd Easterling era. Tuesday's win joins the first Grier Jones Shocker Invitational last year, the GCU Invitational in March of 2021, and the Herb Wimberly Intercollegiate in the 2019 fall season.
"It's so hard to win as a team or individual in college golf, so when you do you just really soak it in," said Easterling.
