WICHITA, Kan. - Wichita State junior shortstop Sydney McKinney makes it two straight weeks that a Shocker brings home American Athletic Conference Player of the Week honors.
McKinney's red-hot start at the plate is nothing new for the All-American. In four games at the Razorback Invitational, McKinney hit .438 (7-for-16) with a double, two triples, two home runs, five runs scored, five RBI and a slugging percentage of 1.125. Through eight games this season, McKinney is hitting a team-best .516 with three doubles, three triples, four home runs, 11 RBI and 12 runs scored.
