WICHITA, Kan. - Sophomore guard DJ McCarty was named to the American Athletic Conference Weekly Honor Roll Monday afternoon, her first weekly honor of the season.
The DeSoto, Texas, native scored 15 of her season-high 17 points in the second half vs. Tulane on Saturday, finishing one point shy of her career high. She was 7-of-12 from the field and also added four rebounds, two assists and two steals.
The scoring output was just her second game in double figures this season.
McCarty joins Asia Strong and Seraphine Bastin on the list of Shockers to collect conference weekly honors in 2020-21.
