Marshall's final pitch to Jamarius Burton: WSU is reloading, not rebuilding | The Wichita Eagle

Jamarius Burton is coming off the high of winning a championship, as he led his high school team to a North Carolina state championship in March.

When Burton, a 6-foot-5 point guard prospect in the class of 2018, took his fifth and final official visit to Wichita State on Tuesday and Wednesday, that's what WSU coach Gregg Marshall sold to Burton: come to Wichita and keep winning.

The Shockers are coming off a 25-win season and their seventh straight trip to the NCAA Tournament, but return only 11 percent of their minutes from the team.

"His resume speaks for itself with all of the things he's been able to accomplish there," Burton said.
