Wichita State sophomore setter Lily Liekweg is the American Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week.
The 5-foot-5 libero from Janesville, Iowa earned tournament MVP honors in Wichita State's 3-0 weekend at the A-State Invitational, averaging 5.18 digs over 11 sets while helping the Shockers limit opponents to a combined .131 hitting percentage.
In Friday afternoon's sweep of UT Martin, she tallied 24 digs in just three sets and established new career-highs with seven assists and three service aces.
The Shockers (3-0) are in the Brookings, S.D. this weekend for the SDSU Invite.
