WICHITA, Kan. – Wichita State sophomore right-handed pitcher Jace Kaminska was named Second Team Preseason All-America by Collegiate Baseball, the publication announced Tuesday.
Kaminska burst onto the scene as a true freshman last season, going 8-1 with a 2.32 ERA to earn First Team All-Conference and AAC Newcomer Pitcher of the Year. The native of Caney, Kan., was tabbed to five different Freshman All-America teams, including First Team honors from Collegiate Baseball, Perfect Game, and D1 Baseball.
After beginning the season working out of the bullpen, Kaminska moved into the rotation for a midweek start against in-state rival Kansas State on March 23.
