Johnson Awarded for Most Outstanding Performance

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – American Athletic Conference decathlon champion Ben Johnson has been awarded the Men's Outdoor Field Most Outstanding Performance award.

The award is presented to student-athletes who recorded the highest-ranking on the NCAA performance list at The American Outdoor Track and Field Championships.

Johnson won the men's decathlon with a personal best score of 7,413 points, moving him up to No. 18 in the nation. His score is No. 4 on the Shocker all-time top-10 list.

The Tonganoxie, Kan., native is three-time conference champion (2-AAC, 1-MVC) and seven-time all-conference honoree (4-AAC, 3-MVC).
