WICHITA—Joseph Holthusen was recognized as one of The American Athletic Conference's best track and field athletes over the past week, the conference announced Tuesday.
Holthusen was named the AAC's Men's Track Athlete of the Week for his stellar performance in the 60-meter hurdles at the Herm Wilson Invitational on Friday.
Holthusen ran one of the best races in the country this year, blazing through the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 7.79.
Holthusen's time slots him at No. 6 in the country and is the conference's leading performance in 2021. Holthusen's race moved him to second in school history and set the facility record at the Heskett Center.
