Holthusen Breaks Eight-Second Barrier, Shockers Close in on Program Records

VERMILLION, S.D./LINCOLN, Neb. – Joesph Holthusen tied the DakotaDome 60-meter hurdles facility record at the USD Alumni Meet, and Adrian Diaz-Lopez and Clayton Duchatschek were just shy of two school records at the Husker Invitational as the Shockers wrap up a multiple-meet weekend.

In Vermillion, S.D., Holthusen won the prelims of the 60-meter hurdles with a season-best time of 7.90 to tie the facility record and went on to place second in the final with a time of 8.15. This was Holthusen's first sub-eight second race since 2021 when he was an indoor All-American.
