NORMAN, Okla. – Three Wichita State heptathletes wrap up the multi-event competition at the Sooner Multis Saturday at the John Jacobs Track and Field Complex.
Maria Romero and Anna Heacock placed third (4,724 pts) and fourth (4,240 pts), respectively, in the heptathlon, moving up a total of four spots between the two of them on day two. Heacock recorded the second-best javelin throw of the day with a mark of 32.45m/106-5 (523 pts), and Romero wrapped up the competition with a first-place finish in the 800 meters, crossing the line in a personal-best 2:24.
