WICHITA, Kan. - Wichita State sophomore forward Jyar Francis has decided to transfer to a school closer to her home in Hammond, La., Head Women's Basketball Coach Jody Adams announced today.
"We want what Jyar thinks is best for her now and for her future," Adams said. "We are disappointed she has chosen to leave Wichita State, but I wish her only the very best in all her endeavors."
Francis played in 26 games in 2015-16, averaging 5.4 points and 2.8 rebounds a game as a freshman.
Injury, last spring, summer and early on this season, has limited her play to only three games this fall.
