Results Kellyn Taylor finished the marathon in eighth place running the 26.2 mile course in 2:29.56 with a 5:44 mile pace. Taylor was the third American to cross the finish line. Aliphine Tuliamuk ran the marathon in 2:33.18 with a 5:51 mile pace to finish 11th overall and fifth American. American Shalane Flanagan won the race in 2:26.53 for the women, Kenyan Geoffrey Kamworor won the men's race with a time of 2:10.
NEW YORK – Former Shockers Kellyn Taylor and Aliphine Tuliamuk placed in the top 15 of the New York City Marathon Sunday morning.
