Former Shocker Casey Blake Named to KSHOF Class of 2020

WICHITA, Kan. – Former Wichita State University All-American, and Pizza Hut Shocker Sports Hall of Fame third baseman Casey Blake has been named to the Kansas Sports Hall of Fame's 2020 induction class, it was announced Wednesday, June 3.

Blake, who played for the Shockers from 1993-96, was a three-time All-American and garnered Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Year honors in 1996. A native of Des Moines, Iowa, Blake was also a three-time All-MVC honoree and received CoSIDA Academic All-America accolades three times. In addition, he was named to the MVC All-Centennial Team.

He was drafted by the Toronto Blue Jays in 1996 and played 13 years in the Majors with the Blue Jays, Minnesota Twins, Baltimore Orioles, Cleveland Indians and Los Angeles Dodgers.
