WICHITA, Kan. – Five Wichita State baseball student-athletes were drafted during the final day of the 2018 Major League Baseball Draft.
Dayton Dugas, a junior outfielder from Lake Charles, La., was taken in the 16th round by the Detroit Tigers and Keylan Killgore, a redshirt sophomore left-handed pitcher from Wichita, Kan., was taken in the 17th round by the Philadelphia Phillies. Trey Vickers, a senior shortstop from Lee's Summit, Mo., was taken in the 30th round by the Washington Nationals and Cody Tyler, a senior left-handed pitcher from Terrell, Texas, was taken in the 32nd round by the San Diego Padres.
